It concerns us to know the purposes we seek in life, for then, like archers aiming at a definite mark, we shall be more likely to attain what we want.
— Aristotle

In archery, there are several key components to ensuring your arrow goes consistently towards the intended target. Among them, and perhaps the 2 most important, are the anchor point and the aim.

The anchor point is the place that you repeatedly draw back to allowing you to reliably aim your arrow. Without an anchor point, it is impossible to consistently hit a target. Likewise, focusing your aim and locking your site on where you want your arrow to go, will ensure you meet your intended target with greater success.

So when praying about what to name this business, Anchor + Aim seemed to be the only name that fit!  I believe that in order to be successful at what you set out to do, you have to start with knowing what ANCHORS you and what you’re AIMING for. Much like archery, we are more successful in reaching our goals when we understand what drives us toward them.

Knowing the WHY behind your pursuits gives you a foundation to draw back to when you face roadblocks, challenges, and discouragement. In the same way, having a strong understanding of your finish line, what you’re trying to achieve and its purpose, helps you to you stay motivated through the journey to get there.

After years of working in high-level leadership positions both in for and non-profit organizations and running my counseling practice, I came to realize that the process for personal and business growth is, at the core, the same - acknowledging where you’re starting from, understanding where you are wanting to go, developing a strategic plan to get there and putting it the hard work to achieve it.

In 2017, leaning into my leadership and business growth experience, and my desire to be both equally present for my family as I am my clients, I transitioned to becoming a Fractional COO and Strategic Partner. In 2020, during the pandemic, I officially launched Anchor + Aim to meet the growing need for flexible partnerships and strategic guidance as businesses faced the challenges of pivoting and adapting. As a strategic partner, I am able to offer expertise in streamlining processes, implementing systems, and providing guidance for leaders and businesses overwhelmed by administrative tasks, empowering them to focus on business growth.

At Anchor + Aim, our consultants and advisors are passionate about helping others reach their goals and succeed at this life. We would love to partner with you so you can get back to loving what you do!
